ROOT CANAL TREATMENT

An RCT is a treatment to repair and save a badly damaged or infected tooth. The procedure involves removing the damaged area of the tooth (the pulp), cleaning and disinfecting it and then filling and sealing it. A dental crown or overlay is placed over a root canal treated tooth to prevent tooth fracture.

AESTHETIC DENTISTRY

Aesthetic dentistry focuses on improving the appearance of your mouth, teeth and smile. Tooth coloured filling materials, crowns, bridges, teeth whitening, dental veneers, dental implants, orthodontic correction of malaligned teeth etc are available to enhance your smile.

SMILE DESIGNING

Smile designing can also be called a process of improving the appearance of the smile with the help of different dental treatments like composites, dental veneers, bonding, dental implants, teeth whitening and gums surgery (recontouring).

CROWNS AND BRIDGES

Crowns and bridges are fixed prosthetic devices that are cemented onto existing teeth. Crowns are used most commonly to entirely cover or "cap" a damaged tooth or after RCT. Bridges are commonly used to cover a space if you are missing one or more teeth.

VENEERS AND LAMINATES

Veneers and laminates require very less tooth reduction and are used in area like front teeth where aesthetics is of concern. Used for smile correction, after RCT, changing the colour of teeth etc.

INLAYS AND ONLAYS

Inlays and onlays require minimal tooth reduction compared to RCT. e.max inlays and onlays provide superior aesthetics compared to crowns.

REMOVABLE DENTURES

Removable partial or complete dentures usually consist of artificial teeth attached to pink or gum-colored plastic bases. They are cheaper than fixed crowns and bridges but require daily maintenence. Flexible removable dentures are also available.

DENTAL IMPLANTS

Dental implants are metal posts or frames that are surgically positioned into the jawbone beneath your gums. Once in place, they allow your dentist to mount replacement teeth onto them. They do not need to be anchored to other teeth.

ORTHODONTICS

Orthodontics is the branch of dentistry that corrects teeth and jaws that are positioned improperly. Many different types of appliances, both fixed and removable, are used to help move teeth, retrain muscles and affect the growth of the jaws. Treatment starts at the age of 6 or 7.

DENTOFACIAL ORTHOPAEDICS

Orthodontic treatment in young children is known as interceptive orthodontics. It can begin as early as age 6 or 7. At this age, teeth are still developing and the jaw is still growing so certain conditions, such as crowding are easier to treat. Fixed or removable appliances are used to help move teeth, and affect the growth of the jaws. Treatment starts at the age of 6 or 7.

ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY

If a tooth has been broken or damaged by decay, your dentist will try to fix it with a filling, crown or other treatment. If there is too much damage for the tooth and can't be repaired then it needs to be extracted. If the tooth is not fully erupted into oral cavity, especially wisdom teeth, then it requires a surgical extraction.

PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY

Take good care of your child's baby teeth. They do eventually fall out but until they do, baby teeth play an important role in helping your child bite and chew food, and speak clearly. Many of the same treatment and evaluation options that adults have are also available to kids. Space maintainers can be given if the tooth is lost at a very early age. This helps in reducing crowding of teeth in the future.

PERIODONTICS

Inflammation of gums, known as gingivitis, is due to accumulation of plaque and calculus around your teeth. It also causes bad breath. It can be removed by the dentist by a treatment called scaling and root planing. Severe conditions may require periodontal surgery.

ORAL RADIOLOGY

X-rays are an essential part of any dental care treatment plan. Radiographs allow us to find depth of cavities, look at the tooth roots, check the health of the bony area around the tooth, see the status of developing teeth etc.
